Hello. Im the Director of Modular Design +. The modules that you can see being made here at Modular Design + are M&E modules, so theyre mechanical and electrical products that containerize into a module all of the items that would be needed to make the building function. This is for the hot water, compressed air, ventilation, and heating systems in general. All of these systems would be pre-installed in our modules and taken to the site, packaged ready to be installed. This particular module is a vertical riser. It gets to the site and then its lowered by a tower crane down the riser shaft on a building and this would be connected to the services, to the horizontal modules that we also make. The aim of our business is to remove complexity from the site. By undertaking these large structures in the factory and by packaging all of the M&E services into a modularised system, we can then transfer this system removing the need for people to work at height, from confined space working, from undertaking hot works, and from undertaking any pressure testing which may not be convenient or appropriate.
