Deployment Tower SQL Server Inquiry

Does my DEV and PROD environment have to match my Deployment Tower SQL Server version? Are there any issues with different SQL server versions between the environments?

From our old Repository documentation, it is recommended to use the same SQL Server version across your environments. From local testing, it is possible to configure a Deployment Tower using SQL Server 2022 and connect a SQL Server 2019 DEV & PROD environment with no issues. Using a newer SQL Server version than Deployment Tower will cause issues during deployment. It is recommended to use the same SQL Server version as your Deployment Tower or use an older version.

Please thoroughly test your workflows to ensure there are no incompatibility issues.
