Selective Update Flow Execution Extension

I am trying to update some fields of a Flow Execution Extension entity. I was using 'update entities' step for this but it has stopped working for some reason. When i checked in the documentation, the step seems to have been depreciated and recommendation is to use save entities step which is very different from updating one entity. Is there any other easier alternative for this?

Save Entities is not useful for updating selective records.

For Save entities we need to update all the values at the same time. It does not allow selective update. Is it by design? Seems like we have depreciated a good feature and replaced by a very inefficient way. I was hoping for a better solution for partial update of flow execution extension then using 'SAVE ENTITIES' step.

I understand your concern about the "Save Entities" step requiring all values to be updated simultaneously. Yes, this is by design; the step is intended to save the complete set of data at once rather than supporting partial updates. While this may seem less flexible, it ensures data consistency.
