USPS Module 'Normalize Address' Step Output

Hello,

When using the 'Normalize Address' Step within a flow in Decisions, the output of the city that I'm expecting to see is shortened.

For example if I input an address within South Chicago Heights, the output shows as 'S CHICAGO HEI IL'.

Is this normal?

  • Hey there, thanks for using the Decisions Community forum!

When using the Normalize Address step, the output comes directly from the USPS database, so this is expected. For example, using the USPS website tool: https://tools.usps.com/zip-code-lookup.htm?citybyzipcode

and using the Zip Code 60411, you can see the shortened city name in the results:

    I hope this helps!
