Agent Not Letting Me Get Large Data?

Greetings,

I have an external database integration in v8 that is using an agent to retrieve the data I'm querying. When I run a small query, it seems to get the data fine. However, when I run a large query, I get and error saying "Timeout exceeded waiting for the request {some id} to be completed." I tried increasing the query timeout in the external DB integration, but this didn't do anything. As this clearly says there's a timeout somewhere, where do I need to increase this timeout?

This is most likely a timeout setting that will need to be increased in the Agent's Settings.xml on the external DB server. To do this, navigate to the place where the agent is installed (most likely Drive:/Program Files (x86)/Decisions Agent). Then open the Settings.xml (NOT the AgentSettings.xml).

You'll want to alter a line called <DefaultDatabaseQueryTimeout>. Increasing this number should extend your query timeout and allow for longer query operations to complete.
