Do I need to fetch entities in a user action when using configuration folder?

Using a configuration folder with customer user actions how can I (or do I even need to) fetch the entities that need to be adjusted in that flow?

You do not need to fetch entities when using actions in a configuration folder. By default you can look at the data explorer to see that that information is available to you without defining inputs or fetching entities.
