clustering | server matching
I want to do an a:b comparison of azure server performance between higher speed cpus; number of cores and ram. Are there any issues running two instances in our cluster on different virtual machines specs/cpus?

There shouldn't be any issues with doing this. Servers within a Decisions cluster run their own flows, forms, etc and tell the other servers in the cluster to update cached items with more recent versions when changes are made, so there is no technical limitation to running one server on higher specifications than the others. Practically speaking, it's probably advisable to run the servers in the cluster at the same specifications so that a lower spec'd server does not get overwhelmed with all of the work in the event sessions failover (such as when a server is brought down for maintenance or to fix a problem).
