Large Truth Table

I would also advise looking into using External Truth Tables. These are better adapted for all around performance when using larger Truth Tables. - External Truth Table: https://documentation.decisions.com/docs/external-truth-table
Breaking it apart could be a viable option, potentially having users call a flow with a series of Rules/Truth Tables rather than just one Truth Table directly.

what numbers are we talking about when saying a "larger" truth table. I.e. when will it become interesting to look into external ones?

Hey Haim, It's really up to you and how you want to handle it. Personally, I would probably start using External Truth Tables once I got around 15-20+ rows. We have seen use cases that have hundreds of rows.

I've bumped into this issue again. There doesn't seem to be a way to do an initial population of a larger truth table. External Truth tables work, however, this locks you to the original import. I would rather initialise, and then use the truth table interface as the editor for additing/removing/editing rules. Otherwise I have to worry about an external CSV for example. But the external truth table is locked to that import and cannot be set free for manual editing. I did find Create Rule Table From Definition in the steps, however this seems to be not particularly well integrated (types selection is string rather than data type selection), and then it seems the Rows variable isn't being passed into the step on runtime (ver 9.12) perhaps that is a bug. The Rows is filled out, but in debugger it is not listed in the input to the step, and there is an array index error on running, presumably because it expects rows to match the outputs, and yet there are none. Is there any other trick to doing an initial population of a truth table? Copy pasting 228 rows CAN be done, but it's not particularly fun, and if gets lost somehow and needs re-initialising it will be less fun.

Hey Haim, I have created a support ticket for you using the email associated with your forum account. A member of the Support team will help you out with this!

In case anyone looks here. It is not possible to decouple a Rule Table from the original source report if that is how it was created. However, for my usecase I am happy enough with creating via a CSV to the report, which populates the table. This means that updates must be done to the CSV and it must be reloaded to the report to change the table. As the CSV is saved with the report, then I'm ok with this as I don't need to sepearately manage the storage of the CSV. For an update I can download it again, update, and upload.
