Is there benefits choosing Self Hosting compared to IIS Hosting for Decisions?
We are upgrading from Decisions v6 to v8. We currently have IIS hosting implemented but was curious if there are any associated benefits to self hosting Decisions? Or if one is recommended over the other.

Hi there,
Typically, we recommend a Self-hosting installation for all environments as it removes some additional layers of complexity that an IIS installation would include. In addition, self-hosting is generally easier to maintain over time.
From a user/performance standpoint there is no difference. If your requirements include needing a Virtual Directory, IIS would be the only option.
You can read more about both types of installation here:
https://documentation.decisions.com/docs/installer-hosting-options
We always recommend upgrading/installing the latest version if possible!
Hope this helps!
