How Do I Point My Decisions Server to a New Database When Upgrading?

Greetings,

I'm upgrading from Decisions v8.3 to v8.17.1, and I'd like to change the database my server is connected to when performing this upgrade. What's the best way to do this?

Hello there!

The best way to do this would be to run (or re-run) the installer for v8.17.1 and check the "Change Settings on Update" box. Then, configure your new database connection on the Database Setup step, as shown in our documentation:

(Please note that upgrading from SQL to Postgres is not supported, so a new database is required.)
