Going back from Form to Form
Comments

Hi,
I have a Form created for processing, and when I process that form it takes me to another Form. When I close the second Form it takes me all the way back to a report page. I need a way to go back only one step backwards (from the second Form to the first Form). What is the best way to do this?
Thank You

Just to add, I didnt mention an important thing, I have a subflow between those two forms and when I use the Back button I want that all data that was populated in the first form to be there when I go back so I dont need to populate everything again until I completely close it.
Thanks.

Hey Bojan
Can you please confirm, by saying I have a sub-flow between those two forms, is the setup something like this Form1→Subflow→Form2?
Thanks -
Yes, the setup is like that, a subflow is activated when going from Form 1 to Form 2 and contains informations from DB to prefill informations needed in Form 2. Also, in Form 1 I have some data in Data Grids that I want to stay there if I go back from Form 2 to Form 1. Hope that makes sense, thanks.

Hello Bojan
Is the data on the data grid gets edited and passed on? If so, do you wish to display the updated data when the Flow comes back to the first Form?
If the data on the data grid is not going to be edited, then we can loop back the Form, and the data on the data grid will remain as it is.

Hello Osman,
I created a ticket and sent an email, thanks. -
Hey Bojan
Can you please confirm that the email was sent to support@decisions.com as I am unable to see the ticket? Did you receive an email from Decisions Support with the ticket number? -
I can confirm that is the email I used but did not receive the ticket number or response.

Hey
I have made a reference project to pre-populate the Data Grids when we get back to the Form. For achieving this, we need to define the outputs of the Data Flows as Input Data on the Form. Note that the data names of the outputs of the Data Flows and Input Data on the Form should be identical.
Also, on the properties of the Data Flows, we need to enable the Make Output Data as Forms Output property.

Back in the Flow designer, on the inputs for the first Form, map the inputs to itself by selecting the mapping type as Select From Flow.

Please find the attached reference project and a few screenshots that illustrate the above-said things. You can test this project by entering the candidate name as admin@decisions.com or hussey@decisions.com.
