Help Adding Pre-Populated Lists to Form Components
Comments
-
Im trying to use value lists as a pre-populated data source for a data repeater and combobox form components. We are doing so with a data grid already and it works fine, but I cant get it to work for the any other components.

Unfortunately, value lists do not behave like they do on in-line editable data grids for form components. If youre looking for a way to pre-populate your drop-down lists, we would suggest using a data structure that contains a list type that you can save a list of data into, fetch at runtime, and map into the list source input on your forms. You could then map the selected list item out and into your data.
Attached here is an example of this that you can import and test for yourself. This example uses a create data step to generate the example data, but you could also save to the database an item of a custom data type with all of the pre-populated information youre expecting to use in your dropdown form fields. The only thing you would have to do after this is fetch that item into workflow and map it into your forms as necessary.
