Internal Integration- Passing page context

Hi,
I have a use case where we are using a run flow part step in order to display a drop down list. We would like to set a page variable based on the users selection, however it seems that run flow parts do not run any steps after the form.

In order to work around this with other things, we are using rules flows within the form to perform actions. These flows do not have the context of the page, however. Is there a way to pass the page context into the form so that these flows are able to add page variables?
