Installing with non local SQL Server and A/D user

Comments

  • Hello!
We are planning to do a Decision Install. We have an AD User for install and our server is not local. Are there spefic installation configuration needed for this scenario?

  • If we are using a different Account for Install, we can specify the account service on the install wizard. Please see the steps below:
1)Check the "Show Advance setting on the Install wizard.

2)On the installation Wizard, there is a "show Service Setting" checkbox that we need to check.

3)Here we will need to enter the Service Account Username and Password that we are going to use.

4)We will need to select Windows Authentication for the DB connection.

If the server is not local, we should be able to use local service accounts for the install as we normally would. The main difference between installing Decisions on the SQL server machine vs a remoter server is insuring that the remote server has access to the SQL Server.
