Is Valid Password step functionality

I am testing the “IsValidPassword” step found under Internal Services>Accounts to validate an entered password but this step does not validate and send to the true path even when I enter an invalid password for my account. What can be the reason for this? May I know how this step works?

The IsValidPassword found at Integration→InternalServices→AccountServices checks whether the password entered complies with the requirements set for the password in PortalSettings and not the password set for an account. We dont allow authenticating of accounts via password within a flow as this will expose the password of different accounts to designers.
