How to define a scope of parent folders/projects?

How to define a scope of parent folders/projects?

Comments

  • Hi,

Often we have people working in their own sandboxes creating test entities and then these all show up in my production projects when I’m developing. It’s very easy to select the wrong entity if the name happens to be the same. Is there a way to define a namespace such that when I’m in Project 1/Designer Entities I only see entities that were created under Project 1 and Shared. I don’t want to see any of the entities from Project 2.

    Thanks

  • Hi,

In Decisions visibility and permissions are configured on the folder level. You can manage this configuration by right-clicking on a folder and selecting the Manage > Manage Permissions option. The opening form will allow you to select accounts/groups and their permissions level. In addition to that, you can collect your project entities/items (flows, forms, data structures etc) in a project by using right-click Designer Repository > Add To Project action. This will help you to identify your project items and move project as intact in case of an export or commit. Other than folders Decisions does not provide permission or visibility on individual items like flows, forms or data structures. If you need control over these items you can use Set Owner feature as well. For details please check Set Owner document.
