The Use Transaction Data allows you to utilize the Transaction steps (found in Integration > Database > "your connection here"). What these transaction steps do is allow you to link a "Transaction" to the step. Transactions act as a sort of fail safe in the sense that, if the task fails, youll have the task "Rollback" vs just remaining stagnant.

The whole process is started by a Start Transaction step which allows you to setup how unresolved transactions are handled, its isolation level (details of the different levels available here on our documentation site: https://documentation.decisions.com/docs/using-transaction-steps), and the Transaction Name.

This will output Transaction Data which you will be able to reference when you tick the "Use Transaction Data" box on your database query step. In regards to this stopping table deadlocks, it can be capable if one of these database query steps is the cause of it, youll be able to rollback vs just having the process come to a hard stop.
