Can someone provide me with information on how Decisions would implement Forward or Backward Chaining using Rule Chains?

  • Once you have configured your rule chain, by default it runs using forward chaining. Once the rule chain has been placed in a flow, were able to implement backward chaining using the For Facts section in the properties panel for the rule chain step. This section displays the outputs specified within your rule chain. Deselecting any of the listed outputs will remove the inputs needed to reach them from the step.

For example, in the images below, deselecting the outputs Decisions and NotSuppliedInputs also removes the inputs, name and parent needed to achieve those outputs, effectively implementing backward chaining.
