Step to authenticate user/ password against AD?

Hi, is there a way to check / authenticate a users credentials (username and password) against an Active Directory server ?

We have a flow that uses an old .DLL that goes off to AD and checks Username and password entered against AD.
We recently upgraded from 4.0 to 5.9, and this .DLL no longer works.

Ive looked through the documentation but cant find anything.
