Filtering to Case Specific Data
I am working on building a custom Case View for my Case Entities. I want to use the Rich Text view in Report to show specific details in a curated way. Since the Page will be shown in each unique Case Entity, I will need to filter it to just data for the Case I have selected. I tried making a report with my Case Entity data structure as the source and filtered by For Current Folder, but it is not returning any results with a Case selected. How can I display the expected data?

Hello,
For the For Current Folder filter, the name is unfortunately misleading. Looking at the Report SQL, it actually filters by entity_folder.entity_folder_id instead of folder_id. This means it only returns child folders of the current folder, which most Cases don't have child folders in them. This is why you get no results.I have attached an example with two options based on your stated use case. Once you import this project, you will need to go to the Flows folder inside of it and run the Create Data flow. That will make some Cases in the test structure. Then you can go to the Data folder and click on any Case to see the examples. I didn't add any formatting, so it looks very simple, but it should get you the info you need. When you have clicked a specific Case, the custom Page I set up will be called Page 1.If you go to the Case configuration folder in my project and edit the Report you can see I instead used a FolderId Equals filter. Note that must be set to a Runtime Behavior of Get Values From Other Reports and the Filter Name must be FolderId. With that configuration this filter will show just data for the case you selected. This is one option to do what you described.Note this probably isn't the most performant option. The second option I show above the Report is using normal Labels as the titles and Data Labels as the values. This lets you get case specific data to show without any need to run a Report. It just requires more formatting of the Grid Layout to get it to look how you want, but gives you more customization options for the Look and Feel over the Report.0
