Use a Value list in a dropdown field on a form

I created a Value list and I would like to use it in a dropdown field on a form. I added it as the Type but I dont know what to do as far as mapping it or other settings.

It looks like I need to pass the Value list to the form. I tried to add a step before the form so I could map the value list to the Material Types field but Value Lists arent listed under User Defined Types".
