Why do "Last Modified By" and "Older Versions" show different users in Flow history?

When I view the history of a Flow, I notice that the "last modified by" user in the top left box sometimes differs from the user shown in the topmost entry of the older versions table, even when the timestamps match. Shouldn't these always be the same? Why is there a discrepancy between these two fields?

  • Hello,

This is expected behavior in Decisions. The "last modified by" field on the left shows the most recent user who made any change to the Flow. The older versions table on the right lists checkpoints and backups, which are only created at specific times (like when you manually create a checkpoint or the system creates a backup). If a modification is made without creating a new checkpoint or backup, the latest modification details and the top entry in the older versions table may not match. To keep them aligned, create a checkpoint after making changes.

    Hope this helps!
