How do I recreate or move a deleted group with the same name in a new Decisions project?

I previously created a group under Manage > Security > Groups in one project. After deleting that project, I can’t create a new group with the same name in a new project. I get the error: "Group with name is deleted. You must undelete group." Undeleting doesn’t put the group in the new project. How can I resolve this and use the group name in my new project?

Hello,

When a group is deleted in Decisions, it’s only flagged as deleted—not permanently removed—so you can’t create a new group with the same name.

To use the group in your new project:

1. Undelete the original group.
2. Right-click the group and select "Export" to download the group .Obj file.
3. Go to your new project.
4. Click the three dots menu by the new project’s name, then choose Import/Export > Import.
5. Upload the exported 'insert name' group.
