Self-Hosting
Self hosting is easier to setup and easier to maintain. This makes it more suitable for most standard installations. This method is recommended most often hen IIS is not required.
IIS-Hosted
IIS hosting is required for systems where advanced web server features (Windows Authentication, etc.) must be used. This is more often desired in enterprise environments.
