Filling out PDF using correct font
Comments
-
Hi,
I have a flow that will be filling out a PDF Ive created in Acrobat with fillable labeled fields. I have it working properly, but the font is not using the correct one. In this instance, the font has to be set to Garamond as this is our admissions decision letter and thats the standard. Ive set the fields appropriately in Acrobat, but when Decisions fills them it defaults to what looks like Helvetica. How can I get it to fill it in with the correct font?
Thanks!

Hi,
If you select Merge HTML Text option in the data input section of Set PDF Form Fields step you can select some default font family names. Please see the attachment. If the font family is not on the list you need to use the below solution.
In this case, its not a Decisions issue, but an Acrobat issue. If you use one of the default PDF fonts (Times, Arial, etc) using plain text field filling from Decisions actually fills in the font requested in the PDF field. If you use a non-standard PDF font, say Garamond, you have to embed that font into the PDF using the pre-flight process in Acrobat. The drawback is that the size of the PDF will jump the size of the font.
