Evaluating Run Report Step Output Data

Evaluating Run Report Step Output Data

Comments

  • Hello,

I have created the below flow were Im attempting to use a for each group step to filter the outputs of a run report step by a particular field and send emails based on each grouped set of data. However, Im unable to determine which field to filter by due to the naming convention around Dynamic Data Row fields. Is there way to determine which field is which when evaluating the run report step output?

In the report editor under the tab Report Access in the report properties, there is a checkbox labeled Generate Step To Run Report. Selecting this checkbox will generate a type for the currently selected report columns that you can use in the For Each Group step to more clearly display the fields to group by.

Using the Generate Step To Run Report option I was able to select my generated report type as the output type for the run report step, set it as the input type to the for each group step, and select the field to group by as the column name listed in the report.
