I’m trying to make a report that shows all case entities and who they are currently assigned to. When I add assignment data source the ones that are not currently assigned are filtered out? How is the best way to show this?

In your report, youll want to add the Assignment Data Source first, and then add Join Containing Folder and then add your case type. This will report on all your cases, and the "All Assignments" data field will show the current assignment.
