Some users unable to view Form toolbox steps

Good afternoon! We are using Version 8, and trying to make some conditionals on a form. However, some of our uses with non-admin permissions are not able to view all of the steps. We're following along with https://documentation.decisions.com/v8/docs/active-form-flow-visibility?highlight=active%20form%20flow%20visibility and some of us are missing the "Default Form Validation Rules" (path: Designer Entities > Rules > System Defaults > Default Form Validation Rules). See attached screenshot.

We are wondering if you could point us in the right direction, assuming this is permissions-related. Thanks!

  • Hi,

Thanks for reaching out to Decisions Support. You're correct this is a permissions issue. The Default Form Validation Rules are only visible to Administrators by default. You'll need to give at minimum "Can Use" permissions to any individual accounts or groups that you'd like to have access.

If you type Default Form Validation Rules into the Global Search Bar the Designer folder should appear. Right click it > Manage > Manage Permissions.

On the next menu you can decide if you want to assign the permissions to specific accounts or groups. Select Add then proceed.

Give at minimum "Can Use" access to the accounts or groups. Save the permission changes and those users should then be able to view and drag the rules into the Active Form Flow from inside the Rule Flow.

    I hope this helps!
