Add to Built-In Account Report Structures

Hi,
I would like to customize some of the built-in reports in the Accounts folder. The reports in question use ‘Account Data Source’ as the source. Is it possible to add some custom fields to this data source? I would like to create a few custom fields which will be tied to the user account. Is this possible? If so what would be the best method for achieving this?

Instead of editing this structure, I would recommend extending it.
