Submission requiring field that is not required

[font=Roboto, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]I’m using a form in which I had a field called ‘Comments’ ( Text Area), in that I’m using comments as a optional outcome scenario but its showing an error as ‘ Comments should be specified’ by which I’m unable to submit the form. Any ideas on what to look for?[/font]

I think the easiest thing to check would be to make sure there isnt another field/element that is hidden behind your comment field that is actually trowing the validation. If there is, try deleting that out and then seeing if you are able to submit. A lot of times this happens when a form is redesigned and things get pushed behind each other.
