XSD vs XML Serialization/Deserialization?

Hi there,
I was playing around with some steps and tested out the XSD and XML serialize steps. It appears there wasnt a difference despite what I used. Is this expected? Or is this a bug?

This is expected. From dialogue with the team, weve found that the XSD and XML steps do not have a discernable difference.
