How do I disable default assignment emails?

I created a custom email to be sent out for all assignments, but now I get the custom assignment email AND the default assignment email. How do I disable the global email notifications for assignments? Two emails for one assignment is not ideal.

Under System>Administration>Notifications>Default Notifications, you can click on Notify to Assigned and disable it.
